Senga Bay is the closest part of the lakeshore to the capital city of Lilongwe. Popular with locals who have holiday cottages along the bay interspersed with fishing villages and local ferry points. A variety of accommodation options are available for visitors and all are accessible with relative ease from Kamuzu International Airport, a mere 1.5 hours drive from Salima. We recommend spending the first or last night of an itinerary at the lake and connecting with midday flights from Lilongwe and get the most out of your visit!
